We all finally wished to have a normal year. But would the normality become a luxury? We are going eventually to believe it.
After an Irish spring, we had a summer of Quincy! The autumn and the moment of grape harvests again crossed the Manche Channel by setting 3 weeks of delay.
But Saint Vincent watches the wine and the result is a good vintage wine in the typicality with freshness. Beautiful aromatic notes which consolidate us one more time in the insurance that our soils are very wealthy.

And The Domain Portier 2013 gained : " prix d'Excellence au Vinalies 2014 "

And also a bronze award at Decanter 2014

And many more.....

A year full of bounces in particular with the black frost of April 17th, 2012. This year we were
forced to put in functioning our tours anti frost repeatedly. What allowed us to limit the damage.
A very watered spring obliged to us to be at the bedside of our vineyards to avoid that the mildew makes irreversible devastation. Well mastered situation because in mid-July, we had pushed away this enemy and vineyards were spread.
Having decided to wait 3 long weeks to obtain an optimal maturity of our grapes, we harvested
the grapes only at the end of the first 2 weeks of October. A late harvest which allows us to propose you a sauvignon of beautiful quality …

2011 : A crazy year
A crazy year when the nature confused Spring and Summer, small rain and violent thunderstorm. In brief, in june, the vineyard was in july with for us a big uncertainty on the harvest because good numbers of clusters were stolen by a violent thunderstorm at the beginning of may. We did not give up, we have even more cherished our vines and a magnificent Indian summer restored us a part of what the nature had taken us a few months earlier. The result : a grape harvest on october 15th on small very ripe clusters. The vintage displays in minimal quantity but with a lot of freshness and an exoticism which everybody appreciates.

Dear Mr Portier !
Congratulations! I am not surprised ! because your Quincy, which I tasted in Copenhagen, is one of the best white wines of the Loire! - and the best white wine at the Wine Tasting Day in the Stock Exchange Hall of Roy Christian IV.
If I had customers who knew your wines better I would like to import them to Denmark!
Sincerely yours,
William Petersen Vin

Quincy still exports only 18%, however, Benoit Roumet comments, “…it starts to take advantage from the increase of the prices of Sancerre and the enthusiastic demand of white sauvignon in the United States and the United Kingdom, which are the two major markets with Belgium.   Moreover, it (Quincy) already benefits from a pretty notoriety and it is easily pronounced in English…” … read the whole article
